Corrupted Farmer (Chapter 1) — Hard Mode
New Patterns
- Spinning Slam: Spins 360° before slamming. The spin has a hitbox — back off or jump.
- Hay Tornado: Creates a small tornado that tracks you. Destroy it with 3 hits or it persists for 10s.
New Phase (Phase 4, 20% HP)
At 20% HP, he enters a permanent enrage. All attacks are 50% faster and he gains a new grab attack that deals massive damage. Burst him down before the enrage overwhelms you.
Warden of the Mist (Chapter 2) — Hard Mode
New Patterns
- Mist Dash: Dashes through the mist, becoming invisible briefly. Listen for audio cue.
- Poison Rain: Covers half the arena in poison rain. The safe zone shifts every 5s.
- Howl: Summons 4 wolves instead of 2. Kill them quickly — they enrage the boss if alive too long.
Stone Guardian (Chapter 3) — Hard Mode
New Pattern
- Rock Fall: Continuous rock falls throughout the fight. 3-4 rocks per wave. Watch for shadow markers.
New Phase (Phase 4, 25% HP)
Cracks move to different body parts every 10 seconds. You need to reposition constantly. The boss also gains a new stomp that creates expanding shockwave rings.
The Inquisitor (Chapter 4) — Hard Mode
New Patterns
- Teleport Slash: Teleports behind you and slashes. Dash forward immediately when you see the teleport flash.
- Homing Orbs: Phase 2 orbs now home more aggressively. Destroy them or use pillars.
- Cross Pattern: Fires projectiles in a cross pattern. Stand in diagonal safe zones.
- Phase Skip: Transitions happen at 75%/50%/25% instead of 66%/33%. Faster transitions = less recovery time.
Gatekeeper Demon (Chapter 5) — Hard Mode
New Patterns
- Lava Surge: Lava rises from the edges every 30 seconds, shrinking the arena. Stand center.
- Fire Whip: Extends a fire whip with long range. Jump over it or dash through.
New Phase (Phase 4, 15% HP)
The entire arena floor becomes lava except for a small center platform. You have very limited movement space. The boss uses only leap attacks — time your dodges.
The Demon King (Chapter 6) — Hard Mode
New Patterns (5 new attacks)
- Meteor Rain: Phase 1 gains periodic meteor falls. Track shadows and dodge.
- Shadow Clones: Phase 2 now has 5 copies instead of 3. Real one has a faint glow.
- Spiral Bullets: Phase 3 gains spiral bullet patterns. Move in the gaps between spirals.
- Time Slow: Occasionally slows your movement. Use dash to maintain mobility.
- Dark Aura: Phase 4 gains a damage aura. Don't stay in melee range too long.
New Phase (Phase 5, 10% HP)
The final phase is a pure DPS race. The boss creates a massive energy ball that will wipe you in 15 seconds. You must deal 10% of total HP in that time or die. Use every damage artifact, talent, and potion you have.
General Hard Mode Boss Tips
- Learn Normal Mode first — Hard Mode assumes you know the base patterns.
- Bring sustain — Lifesteal, potions, and revives are mandatory.
- Use Ice element — Slowing bosses creates more punish windows.
- Co-op helps — 4 players can split attention and revive each other. See our Co-op Build Guide.
- Watch for audio cues — Hard Mode patterns often have distinct sound effects before the visual appears.
